Hi Paul & anyone else who's interested,
Here are my fastnews templates as they currently stand.
Also attached are a couple of files that go with the fastnews RSS
templates, put these in your campsite document root. These produce RSS
2.0 compliant feeds including images if any are present in the article
'intro'. I've tested with bloglines but not elsewhere at this stage.
Boban and I just finished Fastnews templates and you can find it on http://cs-dev.campware.org.
Mugur, I hope that you will be satisfied, We gived our best to not
changed your templates, but for the sake of beauty we have made slight
adjustments, )

Hello to all... I have taken a look at RSS feed generator, and noticed that
it uses HTML tidy, so Im wondering will that be a problem to install on MoW
instances, as, I suppose, that its required for XML formatting...
Thanks

The use of HTML tidy is optional. I used it to clean up the HTML from
the HTML editor, but then I worked out that if I embedded the HTML in an
XML CDATA section then it wasn't required. I would consider it to be
optional. I'll adjust the code accordingly.

Thank you for your work, I like the new templates very much. I guess they'll
make Campsite more attractive to new users

I think that HTML tidy is pretty easy to install. What platform do you
have the MoW system on? If it's FC3 I can dig up an RPM for you. I used
tidy-0.99.0-0.fdr.4.20041005.3 on my system, found it somewhere online.

We didnt understand each other
All instances of serbianow project are hosted in Prague so we dont have any
ssh access to it so we cannot install any aditional software on our
instances. My previous question was actualy adressed to Jirka, or the guys
that administer serbianow instances but I didnt adressed it correctly
So thanks for Your interest, and explanations regarding RSS. I will anyway
test it on my local Suse box where I can install whatever I want

Would you be interested in doing some quick testing of an RPM version of
Campsite for SuSE? I could send you a src RPM at some point and you
could test it, but only if you don't mind if it messes up your local
version of campsite... I'm still working on the RPM for campsite 2.3.0
so this wouldn't be immediate anyway.

That wouldnt be problem but... When I tried 2.2.3-rc1, I had to modify =
check4functions file because that script couldnt find apache owner =
group/user(i presume, cause Im not some linux guru) I think this line =
was that
I think thats because script checks for apache binary name... On Suse =
its httpd2, according to that script looks for /etc/httpd2 for .conf =
files, but real path on suse is /etc/apache2. Now thats just my blind =
guess, and I didnt want to read grep man, cause I realy didnt had time =
to do that. I was satisfied that I have managed to install it and to =
managed to work under suse.
so I had to nullify those checks since they always returns NULL thus =
script was failing... Also, Im running it on Suse x64 (dont ask please =
and I had to implement x64 specific directories in chek paths... And =
finaly, check for function script was lack of TCL version included in =
suse instalation which is v3.3.5 but I think that Mugur added it in new =
installation scripts as well as x64 specific dirs. So basicly, like I =
said Im not suse guru, nor I have time to become one
So, Yes I can test that RPM only because I will be able to restore it =
from source installation just because I know where to look now
And I hope that You understand what I wanted to say, because I know that =
I could be a little confusing when I talk about something that I dont =
understand fully
Best regards
Boban
